Organic Valley began selling organic dairy products in 1988. Starting with 7 dairy farmers in Wisconsin, we have since expanded to 28 states with over 900 members.

Organic Valley manufactures and sells a complete line of dairy products that includes fluid milks, cheeses, and cultured dairy. Our product line is sold in all 50 states and can be found in most retail grocery stores. Our strength lies in the Organic Valley brand that is the third most recognized organic brand in the United States.

Our strong retail brand, combined with organic ingredient and bulk sales to many other national brands, results in market stability not found with other organic milk suppliers.

The organic milk market is truly a sellers' market. The demand by consumers has consistently outstripped the supply. The organic food industry has averaged 20% growth rates for a decade now. Organic dairy has done even better, averaging about 27% growth rates.

These incredible growth rates are driven by consumer demand and this means that there are opportunities for interested dairy farmers, now and into the future. Organic Valley needs organic milk and we believe that our cooperative is the best choice for family farmers.
