Organic Prairie Pork Pool

The Pork Pool was founded in 1999, but it was not until the USDA approved the labeling of organic meat products in 2002 that our program really took off. We have a diverse product line and work hard for complete utilization and a stable pay price that is not connected to the ups and downs of the conventional world.

Organic hog production is an excellent opportunity for family-owned and operated farms that can produce at least some of their own grain requirements.

Our organic pork is marketed under the Organic Prairie label and can be found in retail markets throughout the USA. Due to strong consumer demand, we are looking for new hog producers in the Midwest, Plains and Great Lakes regions.

Organic Prairie is not accepting new Pork Pool members at this time, but please feel free to send an email to membershipservices(at)organicvalley.coop. if you would like to be contacted should we open the pool in the future.
