Using Cover Crops to Improve Your Bottom Line: Meetings on Incorporating Cover Crops in Row Crop ProductionDr. Allen Williams, nationally acclaimed cover crop expert, will be the featured speaker at the event.  Dr. Williams will outline characteristics of cover crops and their benefits in corn and soybean production.  Cover crops are being utilized as a versatile tool in soil erosion and weed control.  Other major benefits include the potential for cover crops to increase grain yields and reduce fertilizer inputs.  Dr. Williams will be discussing the agronomic characteristics of cover crops and how they influence and benefit a grain production system.  This event is sponsored by the Vernon County Farm Bureau.  This is not an Organic Valley event.
